A Public Spectacle of IneptitudeYou know it struck me recently that though Obama prides himself in 'taking his time' on making a decision on Afghanistan, while Americans are in desperate harms way, that he should have been making these assessments all along the way since elected. He knew when elected we were in a war and indeed he touted his exuberance for winning in Afghanistan. So why the big wait? He acts like now he is seriously getting down to a decision. Where has he been for 10 months? His generals complained that he didn't meet with them for months. He is a lousy commander in chief. Now he makes the 'decision' process a spectacle for PR to try and show what a great deliberative decision maker he is. He didn't do his homework and so now he is cramming is what the truth is. Krauthammer says it best, it's disgusting.

Makes you wonder just how long he can keep blaming his predecessor.
He announced his new strategy for Afghanistan back in March - it was his strategy. In October he wants to blame Bush. The truth of the matter is he's found himself snookered. If he sends more troops, he'll be lambasted by the left. If he doesn't he'll be lambasted by the right and also centrists.
