APBA......Power Boat Races on Roanoke Rapids LakeDid any of you guys/gals happen to make it out there yesterday? They will be up and running today as well, see you all there if you can make it out!

I went but I had one problem show was supposed to start at noon but didn't get going till 1:30ish or so.
Also next year (if they come back) they need to put the boats in at 3rd cove and let the spectators sit at the Lake park. It is way to crowded over there.

First year I figured it would be some issues, I'm heading that way abount noon to hang out a bit and watch from the boat. Great entertainment though, if you've never been, take ride out there today and hope for an event that will be here for years to come.

My idea is that if you have a boat, get it in the water, that has to be the best spot to watch this event.
If you watch it from Land you best bring your Binoculars.
