That is a good price for the area....up here, at Wa-Wa, and Bumblebee, gas was 2.59 yesterday, but today, back up to 2.69. Glad I filled up yesterday!!!!

Wow wish this Valero guy would buy up a couple in RR and try and break the obvious price manipulation that goes on between David, Aman, and Chuck. It such horsecrap that their "transportation" costs are so much more here but they are substantially less everywhere just outside. | ||

You know after reading that article that is enough for me to not do any business with Newsome's Village Grocery stores in the future. If he can cut it in Jackson, he can do it at a location in Roanoke Rapids as well...........we as citizens of this area should quit supporting his stations and see if he likes to..."play games!" | ||

Amen. I worked there at one time and was advised to change the price on the gas when the New Dixie down the road changed the price on their gas. It was so blatant to me that they share in setting the price that its ridiculous.
^BTW, were you at Wally World this afternoon? I parked by this hideous (or if your a Ford guy, pretty) white GT w/blue stripes near the garden center and thought it might be your whip. |

No, that was not me......blue stripes been gone for a month now, trying a different style, the Foose hood stripe. I can't make up my mind what I want to go with to tell you the truth. I have seen the car I believe you are talking about though, the stripes are a little darker blue color and it has a Harley tag on it.....??? | ||

Hey went to Rocky Mount tonight. Noticed that the new truck stop is open at Exit 168 the Oasis, the gas there is 2.87 for anyone who wants to go fill up. It is 2.95 I think at walmart at exit 173. | ||

Okay ya need gas to go---so does it really matter what the price is---as for Summer as long as that dude at Blue Flame will pump it into my vehicle Summer shall ride and not complain-----If ya don't like the prices get a bike----other than that--pull up and pay!!!!!! with a smile preferably---gets ya better service---lol | ||

Yes thats a good thought. I have to get it so I might as well pay whatever? Wow, sorry but not all of us have your kinda cash to throw around. When gas prices go up it eats into my budget, because I'm on the road 60 miles a day. So sorry if its not a big deal to you, but its disturbing to others who notice the grossly inflated gas prices around here. | ||

According to my Yahoo Gas Widget that gives me prices from a specific radius, the gas is averaging 2.93-2.94 in town with Murphy being the cheap spot at 2.88 in RR. Currently in Jackson its saying the cheapest gas it the Shell station at 2.74 a gallon, meaning if you fill up a 20 gallon tank, the difference from a Shell in RR to a Shell in Jackson will be at least $4. To somebody who drives as much as me, thats can save you the cost of an entire tank of gas in one month. | ||

$2.65 in Richmond the day before yesterday. Thats the best I have seen anywhere.
Summer.......you are looking at gas prices with the wrong perspective..........I got to have it no doubt, but the cheaper I get it, the more money I have to spend on booze, partying, and having fun! You need to look at it that way dern it! I average about $600 a month in gas for all of my family vehicles. The other bad sides of high fuel prices are that everything you purchase from the gas you pump in your car to the food you eat has an increase in price when fuel is high. |

Since it costs most people about $0.40 a mile to drive their car, then it would not be worth it if you had to drive more than 10 miles round trip (5 miles one way). |
