Durham is terrible for crime, never seen anything to beat it........but crime is up on the rise everywhere. Don't really know what the answer is to making things better either, the police is already massive busy in almost every major city near us, so that makes matters even worse. Even worse than that is, it is now hard to get anyone that wants to get into law enforcement.....low pay and the danger just don't add up anymore. To top it all off as well, half the folks signing up for BLET classes around here have bad backgrounds as well, so we have the thugs going to school to be cops and get out of school only to protect the thugs! No, its not that bad..........but back in 1994 we had 3 or 4 that had to drop out due to bad background checks. Back this past year I was in a position I did all the background checks on applicants, man Ro Rap has some bad characters as well........don't be fooled, plenty of murderers here, rapist, child molesters, and druggies........don't even get me started on the drunks.
