What good is JIM GARRETT ? I have read his post on 27870 before and all i see is a useless man who enjoys criticizing other people !!! Why does he want so much attention ? I see that all he is doing to the town of roanke rapids is tearing it apart . He uses people like chalie beaver. I see this week he's kissing his a-- for his wife use of the talk show on relay 4 life. He will also drag any body he can into something to make people look bad . What his the point of the signs, sign everwhere you look signs ? Does any of these people deserve to be belittle like that ? He is talking so much about the citys problems laying off city employes . But he supportS relay 4 life ! they take out over a 100,000.00 a year without any money to help the people in the roanke valley Oh how about the youngs & most inexperience police department THAT HE TALK JUNK ABOUT ? great job rrpd on the fast work on the applebee's murder case . Well i got to go now talk some more later

No...there is others, but we have beat this bush to no end man, dig up the past posts. Its kinda like beating a dead horse, no need to continue to do so.

Jim can keep going, there is nothing anyone can do tto really stop him to be honest with you, unless they went after him on the legal end of matters....and in today's times with blogs and forums with folks talking crap such as they do, about any judge will toss it out and let it go. If the law can't combat stuff on the street, they'll never follow up with internet stuff. All you can really do is.....do to others as they do to you when it comes to online disputes, or simply forget it and walk away. Usually folks get bold enough shortly they'll burn their own bridges with people and people don't believe a word they say or do.....not saying thats exactly jimbo's case, but thats my vision of the entire internet he-said-she said fiasco.

One more observation before we let this topic die out: Notice how he's always shouting out how everyone should be out doing the city's work? "Paint over the grafitti yourself!" I have yet to see a picture of Jim with a bucket of paint and a brush in his hand. People would take him seriously if he'd practice what he preached. He needs to start posting pictures of "Look what I did" instead of "Look what everyone else needs to do".

I don't want to get into the Jim argument but it's not illegal to take reasonable expenses for administrative purposes for activities related to charitable organizations. If you don't take actual monetary compensation you can claim deductions on your taxes.

If you guys really want to get under Jim's skin, I have a grand plot, its a toughie and would require some signatures, but getting into some programs I use we are using phpbb to build a chat-forum tool (paid version) for some websites.

Here is the deal, Jim and what Jim is doing is called adult cyber bullying and does fall under laws set in place, and phpbb is 100% against using their free forums in a manner which he is using it under. Bush signed a law into place before he left that no person can annoy another on a blog, forum, bb, or electronic message with-out using their real name. That is why Jim uses his real name, he is legal and legit. However, since Jim is the sole admin for his site, he is 100% responsible for anything that goes on it, and any members posting content that he allows to remain posted. So when concerned citizen or another one posts an annoying post directed towards another, politician or person and Jim allows it to be posted, he has broken the forum rules, as well as law set in place by GW Bush before he left office.

Jim swears by his blue host hosting services, he pays for website, but the forum section from phpbb is a free tool that is included in his hosting, since he is breaking the terms of service with phpbb we would need several signatures before submitting it to phpbb to build a case that he crossed the lines by allowing annoying posts directed to harm others to remain on his site. It would be reviewed, and at that time his "right" to have another forum powered thru phpbb community would be restricted forever.....however, I feel he would seek service thru other sources, you'd have to do the same thing again with that service provider.

Another step you can take is to report his business to the NC Attorney General's Office for harassment if he has made ANY annoying post directed towards you or pictures of your property he has posted with-out written consent. Since his company website is www.27870.com and his so called community forum falls under his company website, his real estate company is endorsing the forum as it is attached to the company website. Not only is Jim responsible for anything posted on that forum, his real estate company is responsible for it as well, especially since the forum falls on theso called "company website."
