More than you can imagine Nighthawk. I don't think its anyone's best interest to start boycotting local business. I'd like to see a seventh commissioner and that would take care of this nonsense.

What difference does it make who the chairman is? I think they should make the Johnson lady the chairman. She seems like she has done a good job.

Gene Minton said like a year and a half ago that he would support her for chairwoman. BUT, the others, herself included, said they would not vote for her, because they know who they want as chairman.
So I ask, who is the real party/race at fault here? They have twice turned down chances by the "racist" white people to get one of their own elected, but have chosen to turn that down and saying that one of the white people will have to back down and vote with them.
Why have we not heard any alternatives from the black members of the board, thats what I want to know?

I think a 7th member is a good idea, eliminate the possibility of this happening.

Haha, well sorry in all honesty, I don't know most of the other council members history and how they have gotten there. Are any of them business owners, or have they just worked for the state and others all their lives?

No, I simply wanted to know if these people had ever had to earn a living in the real world instead of working for the government. I think its a valid question, but doesn't necessarily have a big impact on who should be in charge.

I don't really know Nighthawk. I know Minton owns Drugco and Pierce works at IP. I have heard people say that running a business somehow makes Minton more qualified to be chairman. I really can't see how. A business is a for profit institution whereas government should be a for people institution.

Well, I know for a fact that Pierce is really a community guy. He's done alot of things for the community and he's a people person. Not saying that Minton isn't, but I just haven't really had any type of interaction with him. I'm just ready for this whole situation to be dealt with.
