YAY I remember my father (who worked as a nurse there for a couple years) saying how it was strange how so many people in the medical field would go out to have a smoke after treating someone who was there for health problems caused by smoking.
I hope it goes better than the no smoking policy they used at NC State. When I lived in a dorm, they changed it to no smoking during my last year. This actually increased the smoke that got into my room, since it was right above the doorway, and the dorm had no AC. So I'd have to turn off my fan in 90+ degree heat. I sent Mary Fox's office an email saying that they need a buffer around the buildings, but they said they had no easy way to enforce it. Well how did they enforce it in the rooms? Can't see inside the second floor without a ladder. LOL So it turned out that a non-smoker preferred smoking to be allowed in the building!

I understand the reasoning behind the policy but for someone who is employed there that smokes it doesn't give them a lot of options. Stop smoking or find another job.

Ah yeah. Apparently I didn't read it that closely. I thought it applied to only in buildings. Well, hopefully the hospital will help its smoking employees with some patches or gum...
