These are the types of coordinated attacks we are facing and which Pres. Bush kept us safe from. If waterboarding will uncover such plots then waterboard. We will see if Obama is able to keep America safe all the while he dismantles our Republic.
According to official reports, many of the bodies were sexually humiliated and or mutilated before they were shot. What kind of theology permits these atrocities and then praises God while looking for their heavenly reward of virgins and bliss? This is radical Islam. It is not an isolated branch of kooks in the muslim world. They are seen as heroes of the faith, and organize and recruit more to come. Bush's attempt to insert and support a democratic government into the Middle East should be applauded and wholeheartedly supported. What else will undermine their growth and offer hope for their future and protection for the West? The only other option is we would have to kill them as fast as they recruit, train and deploy them. Not a pretty picture.

I don't see how Bush can get so much credit for keeping us safe. We lost more people fighting in Iraq than we did on 9/11. Iraq cost more than rebuilding after 9/11. There was seven years between the two attacks on US soil, and Clinton didn't do a major offensive after the first attack. A democrat president would have focused on Afganistan and we would have lost fewer soldiers, spent less, and would have been closer to actually winning the war on terror.
And then you forget that most of the terrorists that attacked us on 9/11 were Saudi, not Iraqi! Should we have invaded Saudi Arabia instead?
So Bush didn't keep us safe, and did a bad job fighting terror. Hopefully we now have the government of Iraq close to up and running, and we can now focus on the real mission in Afganistan.
