Why? He won't be come election day!!!!!

I really don't think Lawson can win. Baker has the support of the mayor and the mayor has the over 65 vote. That's who decides elections in this town.

Not this time. All the youth that Obuma brought will vote local this time.

I don't think Beale has the over 65 vote locked up. These people are pissed, and rightfully so. People who live on a fixed income, burdened with rising medical costs, AND having to help bail the city out of the theater fiasco? No, he doen't have this voting bloc locked in at all.
It would do this community good if those holding office now were booted out. At the same time, the choices of opposition are not very promising at all. We could very well end up going from worse to more worse. It's a difficult decision to make for the voters, and this one is going to be as informed as possible.

I'd have to agree with the cure on this one.....the older crowd does have the upper on controling the vote. JHO....on big time tickets you might be 100% correct with your postings...LOL!, but not in small town politics. I think Beale will go back in as well as Baker. Lawson came out swinging to hard about cleaning up the mill village, and thats all folks laugh about when his name is mentioned....its tough to clean up areas as a city council member, especially when you didn't do such a hot job doing it as Chief of Po-Po....
Beale is going online as well.... www.BealeForMayor.com

You're right doomster. Lawson didn't have any major push to clean up the mill village while he was in a position to actually do something. How does he think he'll be able to do something now. Let's not forget, even if Lawson and Scarborough get elected they won't be able to do anything without the support of one of the other council members.

And I agree. The over 65 crowd is a powerful voting bloc. What I said was I don't believe Beale has this crowd locked into voting for him. I havent ran across one yet that has voiced their support for him. But just because I haven't talked to one doesn't mean they're not out there. I just don't think Beale is going to have the support from this group that he has in the past.
It's going to be a wait and see game.

Hard to say LT, this will be the best runnings we have seen in years.....I'd hate for the either of us to throw away some coins.
Don't listen to a bunch of those folks you talk to....when they get to the poll, they'll be checking for Drew.

I've heard some not so favorable reviews of the investment business but I don't know of many that would have gotten favorable reviews over the last 12 months.

Don't you like how lawson came up with some campaign signs......and guess what, they look identical to Baker's.......is it the "I wanna be like Jon" game going on what? So much for being original.
