Thanks for the new stoplight behind Wal-Mart on Old Farm Rd!Glad to see they finally have appropriated the money to deal with this issue. It is always a scary situation there when folks are waiting to head towards Halifax and get impatient to wait at the stopsign. Also when you are coming into town you always have to be careful because somebody that has gotten impatient may dart out, thinking they can beat you, or that your doing like so many others and turning in there without using your turnsignal.

They have a stop light up? I've been saying every time I go thru there they need one. I'm very happy to learn they've got one now!

I hate stop lights. I'm sure one was needed at some point but if they had reduced the speed limit to 35 it would have helped.

You really think people would actually go 35 mph if they reduced it? I don't.

I don't, because I currently don't always go 45 through there. I personally dislike stoplights greatly, but when people don't know how to drive, its better than having accidents and people getting injured.

I didn't realize there were that many accidents there. I haven't seen any and I go through there quite often.

I don't know of any accidents. The reason I'm happy there is going to be a light there is because I always used that entrance and exit. Sometimes I have to wait what seems like forever for traffic to clear for me to make my turn. It's the same whether I'm coming or going. At least with a light, we'll all get to take turns in an orderly fashion.

Its a dangerous intersection because people are meeting it at 50+ often, and the people waiting to get on Old Farm get impatient or simply misjudge how far the cars approaching the intersection are.

Now it would be even better if they installed a stoplight at the Walmart/ CiCi's Pizza intersection. That intersection can be murder to get out of.

That's why I never go out that way. NEVER! Even if I'm going from Wal-mart to Cicis, I'll go out the back exit in front of Lonestar and drive around.

If there are too many lights its going to be like the mall in Colonial Heights, gridlock.
