Gary Grant has been a confirmed idiot for some time now, this shouldn't really come as a suprise. That being said, I'm all for Pierce being the lead man, he did receive the most votes.

I agree, I have no problem with that. What I do have a problem with is that his supporters wouldn't back that idea before the election, but now are in favor of it since the election is over and we know the votes. Kinda hypocritcal. I really think they should have put it to the people of this county in advance and said "Hey whoever gets the most votes on this is the damn Chairman." Mighta made the voting more worthwhile, as there was NO reason to vote for County Commissioners since nobody was challenging them.

I remember Manning making the proposal that the person receiving the most votes be chairman. Didn't Pierce get about 2000 more votes than Minton? If he felt strong enough about it to make the proposal why doesn't he vote for Pierce now?

On a slightly related topic, what exactly do the county commissioners do? Obviously not much of anything if they've spent the entire time I've been in Asia fighting over who's going to be the top dog.
