The Wreck todayMy heart goes out to Tommie, Anne and Kathy King today on the lost of Jason. I worked with Tommie and Anne both at the WestPoint for years, and I know what those two kids meant to them. They were their whole life. I can only guess at what went through Anne after she heard it on her scanner and went to the wreck. To lose a child is hard but I know it has to be really hard losing one like this.

You just never know what will happen.
A similar awful incident occured right outside Fort Bragg. A guy was going about 60 mph, and simply wasn't paying attention. Investigations show that he wasn't on the phone or doing anything else, he just wasn't paying attention and going 60 in a 45.
He struck a parked Honda Civic at the stop light and pretty much cleaved it in half instantly killing a mother and child in the vehicle. The Honda then struck a Harley-Davidson who was crossing the intersection, the rider also was killed.
The vehicle that struck the Honda was a Pathfinder and went airborne on the collision. That driver walked away nearly unscratched. How unfair is that?
You just never know.
