Trace Adkins Concert Travel Info

First, I happen to work as an engineer with the local NCDOT office.
Second, you may want to check the Daily Herald for the RR Police releasing info on how to get to the concert.

If you are not going to the concert, avoid NC 125 around I-95 and Aurelian Springs Road (SR 1600) Saturday night. If you want to get from Halifax to Roanoke Rapids, it would be best to use NC 903 to Three Bridges Road or NC 48, or US 301 to US 158, but expect US 158 to be busy too. If you want to get on or off I-95 (non-concert traffic), use the US 158 or NC 903 exit/entrance. In the past, the exit ramp off northbound I-95 at US 158 experienced backups from concert traffic.

The new road built in Carolina Crossroads going to the Randy Parton Theatre will not be used to get to or from the concert. It has not been striped or signed, so it is not open to traffic.

To get to the concert before it starts, use NC 125 to Day Crossroads, and then go up Aurelian Springs Road (SR 1600). I am unsure if you will be able to get to the concert coming down Country Club Road.

When leaving the concert, you may be directed up Aurelian Springs Road to Country Club Road to US 158, or down Aurelian Springs Road to NC 125. Both lanes of Aurelian Springs Road will be used for traffic leaving the concert and going to the south; When you get to NC 125, the right lane will have to turn right to I-95 and Roanoke Rapids. The left lane can turn left to Halifax or go straight to NC 903 to I-95.

If you are going to the concert to pick someone up, come down Aurelian Springs Road from Weldon because you will be unable to travel North on Aurelian Springs Road from NC 125 when the concert lets out.

This information is unoffical, and traffic direction may change (but probably won't). I hope this is useful to some of you.
he who must not be named

If you don't mind, I'm going to also post this on the RRL forum, someone was asking about how to get into and out of CC. This is sort of related to that.

NP redoctober. If I hear anything different at the meeting tomorrow than what I said above, I'll try to update this.
