Trace ConcertThe concert was pretty killer last night, had a blast. We were center stage right up front.
All the bands performed good, real-real-real good! The evening turned off nice, temp dropped a bit and it did rain a little towards the end, but all in all it was a good night.
I think old CCR is shaping up a bit compared to last year....not that it was bad last year, but it seems as if they have really done some work on stuff around there. No problems that I saw of period.......plenty of food vendors, plenty of porta-johns, portable sink stations, plenty of security.

I agree, the concert was awesome....I really enjoyed it lots !!!
Personally, I think he blew Hank Jr. away ( not meaning to pi$$ off Hank fans) but atleast Trace was sober & didn't slur his words. SheDaisy was good as well. A big thanks goes out to 95 Z for the free tickets !

Yeah I agree with you on that 100%, all the performers were really good. I have always been a trace fan, the guy does some good stuf. I think it was way better than the Hank show myself. A good crowd as well, lots of kids and I believe everyone had a blast. Saw some folks I hadn't seen in years. The only problem I saw, and it wasn't really a problem in my eyes, but this guy kept sneaking down there with a big camera taking pics, they warned him like 5 times.....it was funny, he kept sneaking down there stealing pics......next thing I knew he was being escorted out by security. But he got what he deserved, they gave him like 5 breaks.

Speaking of pics -- if anyone got any pics, send them to photos@roanokerapidslife.com
I'll post them in the CC/Trace Adkins Gallery. Of course, you'll also get credit for the pics.

Summer had a great time as well--everything seemed to run very smoothly this go around...didn't much care for the rain at the end----but Summer survived it.Looking forward to the Merle and Willie concert most definately!!!!!!!!!

I've never heard of the guy. I don't listen to country music. I did hear that he was trying to play golf at Scotfield CC on Saturday.

Yeah, it was fun working the concert, though it was kind of boring in the end since there wasn't much traffic. We had some light tower problems. And the folks only let the traffic out of one entrance instead of two, so the reverse flow didn't work like intended. But it was alright since there was probably less than half of the cars that we had for some of the concerts last year. It let out at about 10pm, but I didn't get to see Trace Adkins since we were trying to get the light towers set up.

Yankee: Do you have those pictures available yet?
Kestrel: Would you mind doing some kind of short right up about travelling to and from the concert? I'd like to include something like a "Tips for travelling to and from Carolina Crossroads concerts"

Well, I'd say that it would be what I pretty much posted before. I guess I could try to rewrite it, but don't know what I'd change off the top of my head.
