There is a forum called End Of The Rope Gang that talked about some tournaments on Lake Gaston. Google it and see what you can find out.

I searched for that forum and that is mainly a wakeboarding forum. Catchy title though, end of rope gang.

Yeah I am a member over there and know some of those guys/girls. They are mostly into wakeboarding like you said, if you went to the east coast wake fest on gaston this year, you saw about a 1/3 of the members from that there.
